Care & Maintenance
Your Bespoke Custom Hand Made Wig or Hairpiece during its lifetime will require Care and Maintenance. Such as:

Washing & Styling
Depending how often you wear your wig or hairpiece will depend how frequently it will need washing. It is recommended that if wearing your wig or hairpiece every day, it is washed and styled every 4 - 6 weeks. If you are not wearing it so often it will be a case of getting to know when that is. You will know when you need your wig or hairpiece washing, you will begin to see and recognize the signs. We will go through this in the consultation. You will find your right timing whether you wear your piece every day or not.
Regular washing keeps the wig from a build up of products if using them, general debris from the environment and any oils picked up from the scalp or any existing hair. Keeping your wig or hairpiece looking and feeling its best, and keeping the hair moisturized and hydrated.
Comb & Patch Repairs
From regular wear, the sewing of the clips may come undone meaning the clips may need to be re-sewn again. This can easily be done at the time of washing and styling, or, if it's urgent anytime as need be. The same with any patch material used to attach the non surgical tape, at times new patch material will need to be sewn to the inside of your wig or hairpiece. Again this is a simple job and can fit around the washing and styling or as required.
Small Holes and Tears
Very occasionally, small holes or tears may appear on the inside of the wig where there is added tension around the clips, or where it has been caught or pulled. These will need to be fixed immediately to prevent further damage. This is a simple job and easily rectified. The sooner these are seen and dealt with the better.

Hair Shedding
After some time living with your wig or hairpiece, and general wear and tear through putting the wig on and taking it off, brushing, washing and styling and general wear, a small amount of hair may shed. This is generally not a requirement during the two years of wear, but may be required during thereafter. Hair is put back in to the wig or hairpiece where the hair has been lost. This can range from an hours work to a few hours. Your wig or hairpiece may not need this for many years. My advice is always treat it well, handle with care and confidence and you will get the best out of it.
Re-Fronting & Re-Naping
After many years with your wig or hairpiece and your wig is generally doing ok, but certain areas are in need of help. If a new wig isn't an option or something you would like to do at that point a new nape or new front or both can be put onto your wig. These are the areas that tend to get the most handling due to where the clips and patches are. The old front or nape can be taken off and a new one put on and re knotted with new hair. This will work out a lot more cost effective and will give your wig more years of life.
Other Alterations
If you are about to undergo Chemotherapy or are through that process and are either going to lose hair or gain hair. The wig foundation can be extended or tucked in around the back area. So we can work with where you and your hair is to support each stage so you have the best fitting at all times. This also goes with all forms of hair loss and changes to the hair over periods of time.
