The Foundation Materials
Depending on the density and thickness of your wig or hairpiece, different lace materials are used to create a lightweight yet durable base that gives structure and support to your wig in the right balance. Foundation bases are put together to provide comfort, durability, and great fitting. With the foundation made in a design that supports the type of wig or hairpiece that will work best for you.
The Hair
Hair length ranges from 6" to 26" and can be matched to your natural hair texture, whether that is straight, curly, wavy or with slight movement, as much as possible depending on what is available at the time of ordering. Hair can be pre-curled to match waves and curls as near as possible, and the hair colour shade, creating a match to your own hair for wigs or hairpieces that are to be a replica of your own hair, or mixed to shades of your choice using colour swatches for something entirely new and different.
You can one colour for your wig or hairpiece, or have highlights, lowlights, block colouring, slice colouring, fine flecking, temple shading and root tinting and shading. Colour can be added to create natural effects or more bold dynamic effects.

Hair Style and Shape
Your wig or hairpiece can be made and cut into any style or shape you like, framed and texturized, just like your own hair. It's most definitely worth spending some time thinking about what you would really like to have for your hairstyle, so you really get the wig or hairpiece you are really going to love and enjoy. At the Consultation we can also do a guided meditation if you are unsure of anything, so that we have the clarity needed to create the right wig for you, that you feel connected to.
This can be a replica of your own hair if you are undergoing chemotherapy, or you are experiencing any form of alopecia and would prefer the same hair as you have been used to, or you can have a completely new style.
The hair of your wig or hairpiece can be blow dried just like normal hair, or, if you prefer left to dry naturally.
You can dress the hair of your wig up, add accessories, just like you would a natural head of hair, so you wig or hairpiece becomes more personalized and part of you.
It's important that you feel confident with your wig or hairpiece and feel like you can be with it like you would your hair, as much as possible.
Securing your Wig or Hairpiece
Your wig or hairpiece can be attached in 2 ways, either with clips that attach to your own existing hair, or medical grade non surgical tape attaching the wig or hairpiece directly onto the scalp. Both methods are completely secure giving confidence that your wig or hairpiece will stay in place. Elastic based foundations can also be made to give an added feeling of security without needing clips or tape at the back, which is particularly good if the hair is very fine in that area to attach clips to, or it is uncomfortable with clips.
