Image & Identity /True Self Expression
We can often become constrained by the self-image and identity we have adopted and come to believe about ourselves, which can limit the expression of our true heart, not only in relation to our hair, but across our entire life. The healing of the self-image and identity is a multidimensional process that touches every aspect of our Being.
This includes how we feel in our appearance with what we look like, how we view the appearance of our life, how we feel inside about ourselves, the stories we hold, the experiences we have had and the impact of those experience in what has been left with us in how we view and experience ourselves. This creates beliefs and ideas about who we are, what we can do, what we can't do. It impacts our choices in every way. How we value or don't value our self, our worthiness in life to experience great things and do the things we love. Our Image and Identity shapes our entire life.
The subconscious programming, the trauma responses living within our system, what we engage with and how we treat our selves and others. Our ability to communicate and express and form healthy relationships, with ourself and others and also our relationship with Life, God, Love, how we view these higher aspects and how safe we feel in the world.
Our Image and Identity has already been shaped to a point by the Families we were born into, the ancestral coding's we come in with and the impressions and experiences we have, our early development and developmental challenges and challenges of being in the world, how our brains work in a unique way, how we understand and learn things.
Our image and identity impacts our relationship with food and substances.
Our image and identity holds copious amounts of stress within it's layers. Inner protection strategies, defence mechanisms, sabotage and all kinds of things are held within this. It functions as a separate entity / identity separate to who you truly are in your heart and essence of your true identity.
Imagine layers and layers around a cell building a wall around the cell keeping it away from other cells and from letting anything in, at the same time as keeping you separate and isolated from the space around the cell that nourishes you and feeds and informs you. You would be pretty lost. This is the case that we are in, until we start to heal on those deeper levels, on the identity level, on the survival level and start to come into the deeper ground of our Being, and start to access a deeper place within in our being which holds a higher intelligence and can heal through a layer at a time we have been functioning in. We gain greater awareness, embody more of our natural essence and feel more vital and alive.
As we learn to meet our Emotional and Mental Self and stop running away from ourself and turn to face it all we can start to take the power out of these places and give it back to the silence, to presence within that holds it all. We have an opportunity to get to know and understand our self on all of these levels: Emotional, Mental, Spiritual, Physical and Soul.
We each carry a unique frequency of our being and how we express in our naturalness, along with a gift held within the heart and soul. In the demands of everyday life and survival patterns, we can lose connection with this, and with what is truly meaningful, joyful, and life-giving and honest. We've become enmeshed within our self image and identity and lost connection with our True Self.
As we open to our true self and true self expression, including how this is reflected through our hair, we begin to experience ourselves differently. This shift brings greater joy, aliveness, and healing, allowing deeper layers of identity to be transformed and returned to free flowing energy and vitality. It is here that natural true beauty, vibrancy, and essence begin to flower and embody more fully. We regain our Value and Self Worth, we feel safe and trusting within ourself and in life despite constantly learning and growing. More relaxed and easeful. Our systems hold far less stress and we are no longer worrying about how we are appearing, what we look like, making a mistake, being seen as not quite perfect and all the rest of it. The self image has softened enough to allow ourselves to be in a human experience evolving as consciousness and we are not going to get it right all the time, and that's OK.
We come to know our True Beauty and no longer attempting to live up to the false beauty standards of the world. We find our own peace and creative enjoyment with who we are. We can start to stop living up to all the false images of perfection in the world whether that is, beauty, success, wealth... and just start to come back to who we are and what is right and alive for us that is just right for our Heart and Soul.
This is a profound opportunity for growth. While it may feel vulnerable, difficult or unfamiliar, it supports deep liberation and expansion. We are on a journey of continually evolving, flowering, and unfolding into more of who we truly are, finding more of our True Voice and liberating our self from the constraints that have held us bound.
